My fiance and I took lessons from Nicole to surprise our guests with a choreographed dance at the wedding. Neither of us had taken lessons before, but Nicole was patient and got us ready for our big day. The dance was elegant and perfect for the wedding and we got an “ahhhh!” reaction from the crowd during our lift. She helped us learn a few basics and after about 10 lessons we were ready for performance. She helped us come really far in those lessons. We also took group lessons with Nicole and can’t wait until things settle down to resume! Thank you for all your hard work, Nicole! Video to come soon!

We decided we would do an actual waltz instead of the sway-in-middle-of-the- dance-floor option. We didn’t expect to end up doing an entire choreographed routine! But things just grew and grew, and despite being your typical self-concious man on a dance floor, I really started to enjoy myself. Nicole is a great teacher – completely calm and confident and down to earth and she obviously really enjoys teaching and seeing you master things you never expected to. I have taken lessons in total from Nicole for about 3 years. She is a brilliant teacher in a completely not “stuffy” kind of way. She brings the personality out in you, ready or not! My husband, Kevin, has taken lessons with me on and off during that 3 year period. Our 10 year reunion is coming up and Nicole will be choreographing a dance (or two) for us. We are very excited about that and we really enjoy the date night. Oh and the Friday night dances that she offers are perfect for those of us who don’t want to go “practice” in front of everyone standing around the dance floor at a club/bar. It’s such a fun, relaxing, smoke-free and grope free environment, you can’t beat it. I read a sign recently that said..”Ginger Rogers could do everything Fred Astaire could do but in heels and backwards”. Well… Ms. Nicole Harford can do everything in heels, backwards, forwards, boy part or girl part!

-‘We hosted a super dance at The Dance Place celebrating Independence Day. We started the evening with a fabulous class in Swing by Nicole Harford, who had the whole dance floor showing off their new skills when the regular dancing started.

-Nicole Harford helped us celebrate “Hot Mamas” Day on May 14th at The Dance Place. She got everyone on their feet to dance to the rhythms of Mambo, and everyone knows that Mama Loves Mambo!

Nicole was a wonderful teacher whom we can’t recommend highly enough.  She came into a very high stress situation (teaching us a first dance a few days before our wedding), and made us feel completely comfortable and confident.  She inspired trust immediately and used humour to keep us relaxed. Her choreography was both elegant and fun to learn.  All of our guests were spell-bound by the dance – including a special lift by my husband that caused spontaneous applause – and it made for an incredibly magical moment on our special day.  We were both so grateful for her spirit, patience and professionalism.’  -Rachael

SALSA
As well as choregraphing the first dance for our wedding, Nicole led our guests in a salsa lesson during the wedding breakfast.  She was full of enthusiasm and energy, persuading even the most unconfident dancers to join the party.  Her warm teaching style and incredible enthusiasm created a really fun experience for everyone which set the tone for the rest of the night.  Highly recommended!
