The Dance Loop in Houston is forever expanding! Which is great for all of us. I have a few favorite hangouts, people, groups etc, which I’m going to do my best to keep updated!

So first of all, we learn to dance of many reasons, but whatever the reason, some IRL practice is always a good thing! So, following are my favorite haunts!
Houston has an incredible Salsa Circuit, if you’ve never experienced it, it can be a bit daunting, so I like to send new comers to places where they can sneak a corner of the floor, or sit and drink whilst watching others dance! I like Tropicana for this, if you get there early, and there are also lots of studios that host their own socials!
For Ballroom, if you’re in the downtown area, you can checkout the Houston Ballrom Dance social which is every friday and has a $10 entry fee.
There doesn’t seem to be anything on the North Side of town, so I am setting up a Ballroom Group Class for Beginners followed by a one hour social dance on Monday Evenings at The Thistle Draftshop. Each class will run for 6 weeks, followed by a full evening social, on the 7th week, hopefully with a live band!
